Piramal Swasthya

How might we improve the performance monitoring and assessment system of Auxiliary Nurse Midwife and Supervisory Staff in primary health care and design an evidence-based capacity building and performance incentive system for effective health care delivery in Assam?

Piramal invites the students to solve The Piramal Swasthya Challenge using the process of Design Thinking. Design Thinking is a human-centred, iterative process that tackles problems using a 5-step approach broadly – Empathise, Define, Ideate, Prototype, Test. You will be going through the Empathise and Define steps in Round 1 – for more information, head over to the Design Thinking section!

Evaluation Criteria

Following are the evaluation parameters of the competition.

Round 3 will include the 'Ideate', 'Prototype', 'Test' phases of Design Thinking.

Student Teams that reach this round will be required to work on 3 concept notes (for their solution directions) based on insights from primary research. Further, they will need to test their concept notes with users and accordingly, work on refinement of their solutions. Final solutions should capture their user testing journey and process followed for refinement of solutions. Submission format for this round is a PPT

Process and Evaluation Criteria:

For this round, Student Teams will be evaluated on the following parameters:

  • Differentiation/diversity of the three concept notes amongst themselves (25%)
  • Alignment of idea with insight from Round 2 (25%)
  • Incorporation of user feedback – flexibility, iterations, changes made (20%)
  • Potential impact of final solution (30%)

Top finalists will be called for a finale to Piramal Group’s Mumbai office.

The finalists will be provided an opportunity to present their case analysis and ideas to the Piramal top management who will assess the quality of their presentations. The finale will be in December, tentatively. Further details of the same will be shared with the finalists. Contact details of the SPOC will also be made available on Facebook.
